First Place:
An Everything Pizza

I ordered an everything pizza
Which probably was a mistake.
For it came with a bag full of doughnuts,
It came with a shovel and rake.
It came with a woman named Ida,
It came with a man from Peru,
It came with a jar of peanuts,
It came with someone’s left shoe.
It came with a clown from the circus,
It came with a butterfly net.
It came with a smallpiece of Kleenex,
That was used by Marie Antoinette.
It came with an opened umbrella,
It came with some old smelly socks,
It came with a picture of Lassie,
And two lovely grandfather clocks.
It came with a college professor,
It came with a hive full of bees,
And this is simply amazing—
They forgot to put on the cheese!
Second Place:
Italian Food

Mmm ... Italian food, it’s so yummy.
I can feel it going down my throat and into my tummy.
Sometimes it’s pasta and sometimes it’s not.
Sometimes it’s cold and sometimes it’s hot.
Whatever it is, it just hits the spot.
I share something in common with my Aunt Maritza.
We both like to munch on delicious ham pizza.
But it’s not the same with my li’l sis Shisha.
All she likes is cheese on her pizza.
Though my favorite food is not from Norma’s and Nonno’s,
It’s from a little restaurant and its called Buono’s
My Nonna doesn’t know this and I think she’ll mind,
If she doesn’t think hers is just as fine.
So spread the word about how good it is at Buono’s
But don’t say anything else because I’d still like to

Third Place:
Pizza. Pizza. Pizza!

Pizza, I love!
It’s way above tacos and ice cream.
It’s better than last night’s dream.
I like the crust and pepperoni,
Not rust and bologna.
I like cheese and meat,
Not Jimmy’s feet.
Buono’s pizza is the best
It passed the test.
That makes it good,
Like other pizza really should.
Buono’s pizza is number one,
It is good and always done.
Buono’s is cool
And yes, it does rule.
I am glad that Buono’s is real,
If it wasn’t I would say,
"What’s the deal?"
